The University of Ottawa, often referred to as uOttawa or U of O, is a bilingual public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 42.5 hectares directly to the northeast of Downtown Ottawa across the Rideau Canal in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood.

MBA-IT Program Details:
Located at the OU Kansas City (satellite) campus: 4370 W. 109 th Street, Suite 200, Overland Park, KS 66211, or other locations designated by OU Students will earn a Master of Business Administration-Information Technology (MBA-IT)


1)Program Length: 7 terms (approximately 14 months)
Failed or required retake courses may extend program length and financial obligation

2)OU to provide education and instruction including faculty, classrooms, and courses
3)Student must hold a bachelors degree (equivalent to a U.S. 4-year baccalaureate degree) with a minimum 3.0 grade point average to be considered for admission to the MBA-IT program
4)Students to secure all housing, transportation, and meals independently and separately from OU
5)Students cannot be employed while completing this program
6)Upon degree completion, Eligible F-1 students who finish their program of study and participate in an initial period of regular post-completion OPT (for 12 months) have the option to apply for a STEM OPT extension (for an additional 24 months), if no previous OPT has been awarded at the graduate (masters) level
7)Students to locate their own employment for OPT and STEM OPT upon degree program completion

An undergraduate degree equivalent to U.S. 4-year degree with GPA of 3.0 or above
English proficiency (with documentation, acceptable forms listed below)
Proof of ability to finance degree
After completion of the online Ottawa University application, the following documents should be

NOTES:
All degree certificates and transcripts (all university transcripts, even if a degree was not earned).
Equivalent to U.S. 4-year degree with GPA of 3.0 or above (passing grades in college).
Will accept students with 3-year bachelor’s degrees only if the degree has been earned in Division I and the awarding institution has been accredited by India’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of A or better.
A course completion rate (Earned-to-Attempted Percentage) of 80 percent.
If transferring from an accredited institution that has issued an I-20, students must submit their I-20 from their current school as well as their I-94 and F1 visa stamp.

Proof of English proficiency
o Must be completed within the last 6 months
o This can be established by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL),
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Duolingo.
TOEFL scores required: Paper-based test – 550 ; Computer-based test – 213 ; Internet-based test – 79
IELTS scores required: Overall Score – 6.5 Minimum subsection scores – 5.5 - Skype interview required if any subsection score is below –6.0
Duolingo scores required:   Overall Score – 110  - Minimum subsection scores – 95

Written statement of purpose.
o Maximum 2-page, double spaced original essay describing your desire to complete the MBA-IT
program and sense of purpose at Ottawa University

Affidavit of financial support showing the ability to pay for program in full (14 months).
o Bank statement or letter from the bank confirming sufficient funds, dated within last three months.
o If funded by a sponsor, student must also submit a signed affidavit from sponsor including
sponsors name, their relationship to the student, the amount they intend to fund, and a statement
confirming that they will be funding the applicant for the purpose of their studies in the U.S. The
affidavit should be dated within the last three months.
