Your specialism in animal science will cover aspects of nutrition, reproductive physiology, animal health, and animal breeding, as well as emerging animal biotechnologies. Aberystwyth is surrounded by a great diversity of farmland and agricultural terrain. The 800 hectare commercially managed university farms provide the setting for your practical learning. This is supplemented by field visits to farms and agricultural and food businesses throughout the UK that are industry leaders in innovation and technical expertise, which will reinforce your academic learning.  Our Staff The majority of teaching staff in the Department of Life Sciences are qualified to PhD level and are research active. Vocational courses also have staff whose background lies within industry. The Department has a large number of research only staff with whom students may have contact.

Academic:

Standard XII Certificate from recognised central or state board:75 % in year XII Std. Some courses may have subject specific requirements in addition to the above


English Language: 

Minimum of 70% in English at Year XII standard level if awarded by CBSE or CISCE central boards, or West Bengal, Karnataka, and Maharashtra state boards within 5 years of the proposed course start date.

Alternatively, applicants are required to provide evidence of IELTS, or equivalent accepted test, at 6.0 – 6.5 or above overall score, and meet specific minimum component requirements depending on the course applied for. 

 

If you do not meet our requirements then we will consider you for our International Foundation Certificate

If you require help or assistance with your English then our International English Centre will be pleased to offer assistance and guidance. The Centre offers an intensive full-time course available before you commence your degree and provides ongoing support throughout the duration of your studies
