If you are fascinated by all aspects of the living world, you will thrive on our BSc Biology degree here at Aberystwyth University. You will explore a whole host of diverse topics that cover the cellular and molecular up to whole organisms. You will also learn how biology can be used in practical ways that can contribute to improving the quality and sustainability of life – a subject that is highly relevant to the challenges posed by climate change. This four-year course is designed for prospective students who do not have a sufficient or relevant academic background. During the Foundation Year, you will learn the academic skills required to follow an undergraduate degree that will allow you to continue onto the full degree course with confidence.

Academic:

Standard XII Certificate from recognised central or state board:75 % in year XII Std. Some courses may have subject specific requirements in addition to the above


English Language: 

Minimum of 70% in English at Year XII standard level if awarded by CBSE or CISCE central boards, or West Bengal, Karnataka, and Maharashtra state boards within 5 years of the proposed course start date.

Alternatively, applicants are required to provide evidence of IELTS, or equivalent accepted test, at 6.0 – 6.5 or above overall score, and meet specific minimum component requirements depending on the course applied for. 

 

If you do not meet our requirements then we will consider you for our International Foundation Certificate

If you require help or assistance with your English then our International English Centre will be pleased to offer assistance and guidance. The Centre offers an intensive full-time course available before you commence your degree and provides ongoing support throughout the duration of your studies
