Jacksonville State University is a public university in Jacksonville, Alabama. Bachelor of Science in Geography

Geography as a scientific field is devoted to the study of the Earth’s landforms, oceans, river and ecosystems, and the interactions between human societies and their environments. Generally defined, geography is the study of the Earth’s physical features and environments including how they impact and are impacted by human activity. Geography includes the study of patterns of human population distribution, land use, and resource management using the latest family of spatial technology such as global positioning systems (GPS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Spatial Analytics.

  • International high school documents based on requirements by country showing a high school GPA of 2.0/4.0 (evaluated on US grading scale). If credentials are in a language other than English they must be translated by the institution itself or approved translation service. (https://www.naces.org/members)

  • Proof of English Proficiency.
    • Students from exempted countries will not be required to submit English Proficiency Scores

  • International students must provide a financial statement showing a balance of at least $36,500. The minimum required balance will be lower if awarded any scholarships. A sponsorship letter will be required if the financial document is not in the student or student’s family name. A sponsorship letter from the sponsor needs to state the relationship and his/her willingness to cover the cost of attendance. These documents must be dated within 9 months of the term start date.
