Admission Requirements & Steps

• Complete the application form and submit the non-refundable application fee of $50.00. (Students working with a JSU Approved Recruitment Agency may qualify for a promo code. Please contact your agency for your code. Deadlines apply.)
• International high school documents based on requirements by country showing a high school GPA of 2.0/4.0 (evaluated on US grading scale). If credentials are in a language other than English they must be translated by the institution itself or approved translation service. (https://www.naces.org/members)
• Copy of Passport
• Proof of English Proficiency.
  • Students from exempted countries will not be required to submit English Proficiency Scores

• International students must provide a financial statement showing a balance of at least $36,500. The minimum required balance will be lower if awarded any scholarships. A sponsorship letter will be required if the financial document is not in the student or student’s family name. A sponsorship letter from the sponsor needs to state the relationship and his/her willingness to cover the cost of attendance. These documents must be dated within 9 months of the term start date.

Sending Admissions Documents:

JSU accepts international high school transcripts and other documents from students; however, they must be uploaded to us directly through students' application portal. We will not accept items via email. Please note that JSU can only accept SAT, iTEP, and ACT scores from the testing agency. If you have trouble accessing your portal, please email us at intladmissions@jsu.edu and we will assist you. If you send us your documents via email, we will not process them.

Spring 2025 Deadlines (Classes Begin January 8, 2025):

• Application Period: April 1, 2024 - October 1, 2024
• Term Deferral Period: April 1, 2024 - January 1, 2025

JSU does not offer a Summer intake for undergraduate interational students
