The Applied Mathematics major focuses on applying math to real-life scenarios and industries. Students learn how to use mathematical concepts for problem-solving and decision making in a variety of environments. Courses include:
- Patterns, Relationships and Number Concepts
- Linear Algebra
- Complex Variables
- Data and Chance
Graduates have the foundation for a broad range of positions in business, industry, government and education. Almost every branch of the Federal Government employs Mathematics majors. Many graduates also continue their studies through graduate, law or medical school.
