The Geosciences major combines research projects, classroom presentations, written reports and fieldwork. The Department of Geosciences curriculum provides students with a sound understanding of geology, geophysics, biogeoscience, geochemistry, hydrogeoscience, petroleum geoscience and climate change. These concentrations develop a geological perspective of Earth and planetary systems that are essential for continued growth in geological professions. - Mineralogy
- Structural Geology
- Petrology
Regular features of this undergraduate program include independent field and laboratory research and presentations at professional meetings. Students can also receive a minor or secondary major in Geosciences.
