FIU’s Knight Foundation School of Computing &
Information Sciences provides a wide range of
opportunities to its students, offering a range of graduate
level degree program, in a number of disciplines.
The MS in Cybersecurity prepares you in the
protection of data assets and sensitive information. It
features a curriculum focused on policy operations and
technologies and defense techniques. With 2 areas of
concentration, students can pursue a more specialized
study in the field, obtaining a higher level of education.
Cybersecurity careers are among one of the faster
growing. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), estimates
cybersecurity positions will increase by 32% through
2028. According to a September 2019 report, the
number of jobs in 2019 as 125,570 nationwide (6,630 in
Florida) with 2019 median annual wage of $99,730
nationwide ($91,580 Florida).

Applicants from non-English speaking countries, including internationally educated American students, must demonstrate proficiency in English.  Applicants that attended undergraduate institutions that do not teach in English must also meet this requirement, even if the institution is located within the United States.  FIU only accepts official test scores or official documentation sent directly from the testing agency or organization to meet these requirements:

FIU’s English Language Institute Level Six: Successful completion with passing grades for all content areas (*Individual FIU graduate programs must go through Faculty Senate approval to use this option.  If approved, this option will be listed in the Graduate Course Catalog.)
