The University of Arizona (Arizona, U of A, UArizona, or UA) is a public land-grant research university in Tucson, Arizona, United States. Founded in 1885 by the 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature, it was the first university in the Arizona Territory. The University of Arizona is one of three universities governed by the Arizona Board of Regents. As of Fall 2023, the university enrolled 53,187 students in 19 separate colleges/schools, including the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson along with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix and the James E. Rogers College of Law. The university is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very High Research Activity". UA also is a member of the Association of American Universities. The University of Arizona is affiliated with two academic medical centers, Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Known as the Arizona Wildcats (often shortened to "Cats"), the UA's intercollegiate athletic teams were members of the Pac-12 Conference of the NCAA. The university joined the Big 12 Conference on August 2, 2024.[8] UA athletes have won national titles in several sports, most notably men's basketball, baseball, and softball.

The Master of Science in Marketing is a foundational program dedicated to providing you with comprehensive knowledge of the field and generating influential contributions to the marketing industry. Structured to provide conceptual frameworks and analytical tools to students, the program prepares you for a career that spans a wide range of national and international industry sectors. Required courses center on management, statistics, research and strategy, while elective course options include social media marketing, brand management, international marketing, and pricing strategy and tactics. The program aims for graduates to be able to design effective marketing plans that improve business performance in any industry.

    • *Applicants that do not meet the minimum 3.0 GPA requirement, but do hold a comparable bachelor's degree, and applicants with a UA graduate GPA below 3.0, may still be eligible for admission into Graduate Non-Degree status.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 79 iBT or Home Edition iBT.  Individual MyBest scores must also be dated within 2 years of the enrollment term to be considered valid.
    • Note, for Master's programs, we also accept the TOEFL Essentials test with a minimum band score of 9.5. Individual programs may set higher English proficiency requirements, please contact your Graduate Program Coordinator if you have questions. The TOEFL Essentials Test is not an accepted test of English proficiency for doctoral programs. 
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum composite score of 7, with no subject area below a 6 on IELTS or IELTS Online.  (The IELTS One Skill Retake is not not currently being accepted, but we are working on implementation and it will be accepted soon.)
  • Pearson PTE Academic - minimum score of 60
  • Graduate English Language Endorsement from the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)
  • CEPT Full Academic test - offered by our Center for English as a Second Language (CESL), minimum Total score of 110.
