Clark University is a private research university in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded in 1887 with a large endowment from its namesake Jonas Gilman Clark, a prominent businessman, Clark was one of the first modern research universities in the United States.

Bachelors in Biotechnology

The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is a degree completion program offering flexibility that students need and in-demand skills that employers seek. In addition to applying a strong foundation in math and science, students will gain skills in biotechnology management, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and data management and analytics. In effect, our program expands graduates’ opportunities to be competitive for positions in leadership and management in addition to research/lab roles.

This program is intended for students who have successfully completed a set of core science courses and provides a smooth transfer for community college students and other colleges in and out of the United States.

Early Decision (I & II)

Early Decision I and II are binding agreements for first-year students who are sure that Clark is their first choice. If you’re admitted, you must enroll at Clark and withdraw your applications to other schools.

Early Action

Early Action is non-binding, but allows first-year students to apply in the fall and have their decision and financial aid award by January. Because you may apply Early Action to other colleges and universities as well, you will have more time and flexibility to explore all your options.

Regular Decision

Regular Decision has a deadline of January 15 and we are typically able to notify students of our decision by mid-late March. This option is open to both U.S. and international students.

English Proficiency Requirement 

TOEFL –85, IELTS-6.5, Duolingo - 120

International Applicants

Over 15% of Clark’s students come from outside the U.S. each year. If English is not your native language, you will need to submit an official TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS score report. We will consider your English proficiency holistically, based on your scores, transcript, essay, and letters of recommendation. We also strongly encourage all applicants to sit for an interview. This is especially important for applicants who do not speak English as a native language.

Admissions for Spring

Each year, Clark admits over 50 first-year and transfer students for spring admission. This entry term is increasingly popular with first-year students who want to take a semester off or do a gap semester before starting college.
