Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a public research university in the state of Georgia with two campuses in the Atlanta metropolitan area, one in Kennesaw and the other in Marietta on a combined 581 acres (235 ha) of land. The school was founded in 1963 by the Georgia Board of Regents using local bonds and a federal space-grant during a time of major Georgia economic expansion after World War II. KSU also holds classes at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Dalton State College, and in Paulding County (Dallas).[6] The total enrollment exceeds 45,000 students making KSU the third-largest university by enrollment in Georgia.

Master of Science in Systems Engineering

The Master of Science in Systems Engineering degree is an online graduate program that requires 30 credit hours to complete. Instructors use various state-of-the-art instructional tools that allow you to pursue the systems engineering degree from anywhere you can access the Internet.

The M.S. degree in systems engineering program is designed to provide you, the engineering professional, with the skills and knowledge to solve the 21st century's industry challenges. The program will develop the fundamental systems engineering knowledge to assess program risks, understand requirements, and develop solutions to meet business and technology's complex needs.

Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary field and includes systems design, integration, and management of systems over the lifecycle and requires a diverse, specialized skillset of leaders who can guide technical teams in real-world applications at every stage of a project.

Systems engineering techniques are used in complex projects: spacecraft design, computer chip design, robotics, software integration, and bridge-building. Systems engineering uses various tools that include modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, and scheduling to manage complexity.

Applicants to the Master of Science Program with a major in Systems Engineering must have the following qualifications to be eligible for this program:

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, physical science, or other technically oriented major from an accredited college or university. Interested students from other disciplines may be admitted to the program but may be required to complete additional courses.
  • ENGLISH REQUIRMENT - IELTS - 6.5; PTE - 52; Duolingo - 110; TOFEL - 80
  • A minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (on the 4.0 scale) or its equivalent. Applicants with a GPA of 2.75 or better may be considered if they meet any of the following:
    • A minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience in the field of engineering after their undergraduate degree. You must supply at least two (2) recommendations from former or current employers/supervisors. The letters of recommendation must clearly state your years of employment and relevant work experience.
    • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
    • Official GRE scores meeting the current admission profile 148 (600 on old scale) Quantitative.
  • Applicants must submit the following to the Graduate Admissions Office no later than the published deadline date for the semester in which the applicant plans to enroll.
  • Required: Official transcript to be sent from each college or university attended.
    A 1-2 page Statement of Purpose describing your career and educational goals, and a current resume.
  • Optional: An official copy of scores from the “General Test” of the Graduate Record Examination GRE) if applicable or evidence of the completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. At least two (2) recommendations by former or current supervisors, professors, or professional colleagues demonstrating, a minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience.
