Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit is a private Catholic research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, Duquesne first opened as the Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost in October 1878 with an enrollment of 40 students and a faculty of six.

The MAcc program has five prerequisite courses: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II and Auditing. We will complete the review of your application after all requirements have been received.

Official Transcripts Students who completed their degree(s) outside the U.S.: Students are required to use a transcript credential evaluation service to obtain a course-by-course report. The official reports must be sent directly to Duquesne University from the service used. Once received, it will satisfy both your transcript and evaluation requirements.

Three-year bachelor's degrees may be acceptable if the credential evaluation service determines that it is equivalent to a four-year bachelor's degree. Please review our Transcript Credential Evaluation page to find out more information.

References - Two professional references are required as part of the application process. References should be from former professors or supervisors who can evaluate your potential for graduate study. After your Online Application has been received, you will be directed to a Supplemental Document Portal where you can enter the contact information for both recommenders. The recommendation form will then be sent electronically to each recommender your application portal.

Essay - Please submit a separate essay for each of the questions presented below. Limit your responses to 250 words or less for each essay. Save and upload your responses as one document. Applicants who do not submit their essays in the proper format, or who do not address the question prompts, may be asked to re-write and resubmit their essays.

For applicants with no post-bachelors work experience, please be sure to list any internships and extracurricular activities that you have been involved with.

GRE/GMAT Scores (Optional) - You may choose to submit a GMAT or GRE score if you do not think your work experience or academic performance accurately reflects your potential for success in graduate study.

Duquesne University Admission Deadlines

Applicataions at Duquesne University take place on a rolling basis. The admissions take place in the fall/ summer/ spring semesters.
