Pittsburg State University (Pitt State or PSU) is a public university in Pittsburg, Kansas, United States. It enrolls approximately 7,400 students (6,000 undergraduates and 1,400 graduate students) and is a member of the Kansas Board of Regents.

Master of Science in Engineering Technology

The Department of Engineering Technology offers a Master of Engineering Technology degree program. Within the program, students may choose to have no emphasis or may select from five different emphasis areas, listed below. This program offers a professional multi-disciplinary team and project-oriented approach to students looking to expand their knowledge in a specific technical specialty. This degree is intended to be a terminal professional degree (highest degree in the field).

Options available for the degree include:
Option III: Course Work
This option requires completion of course work that demonstrates evidence of advanced course work in an area of concentration. Departments will require evidence of competency through activities such as research papers, portfolios, practice, internships, comprehensive exams or other individual work. Students should check with their major department for specific requirements for the coursework.

To apply, you may complete an online form. 

A $60.00(US) application fee is required prior to completion of the application process. The non-refundable application fee should be paid online by credit card or in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to Pittsburg State University. There is an additional Express Mail fee for the mailing of the admission packet and immigration documents. 

Graduate Programs available to International Students and their Requirements

Submit the following: 

TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo score results (not required for conditional admission)

  4. DUOLINGO - 100

 The transcript should clearly indicate:

  1. all coursework and grades (or marks)
  2. the degree awarded
  3. the date the degree was awarded
  4. the name of the institution where degree was earned

Please note that a 2.7/4.0 converted grade point average is required for admission to any of our graduate programs.

A non-refundable $60 graduate application fee is required for Masters and Specialist in Education degree-seeking students.

Payment for the application fee can be made by check, money order or credit card. Payment by bank draft will not be accepted.
