Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit is a private Catholic research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, Duquesne first opened as the Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost in October 1878 with an enrollment of 40 students and a faculty of six.

Pharmacology

The Master of Science in Pharmacology program the Duquesne University Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania requires a minimum of 30 post-baccalaureate semester hours: 24 credits of course work–including two (2) credits of seminar–and six (6) credits of thesis research.

Official Transcripts (Credential evaluations required for international students) - Students should submit official transcripts from previous educational institutions. These educational institutions should send the transcripts directly to Duquesne University.

Essay - A personal statement of at most 500 words that explains why you are applying to the Computational Mathematics and Statistics program and provides any other information you wish the admissions committee to have.

Letters of Recommendation - Students must submit two letters of recommendation, at least one of which should be from a reference who can comment meaningfully on your prior academic performance.

GMAT/GRE Scores (Test-Optional Admission) - You may choose to submit a GMAT or GRE score if you do not think your work experience or academic performance accurately reflects your potential for success in graduate study. Although the GMAT/GRE are not required for admission, they may be required for consideration for merit-based funding opportunities.

TOEFL/IELTS Scores (International students only) - TOEFL is 90 ; IELTS is 7 ; Duolingo is 115. 

Three-year bachelor's degrees may be acceptable if the credential evaluation service determines that it is equivalent to a four-year bachelor's degree. Please review our Transcript Credential Evaluation page to find out more information.

Fall admission: July 1

Spring admission: December 1

Graduate assistantship: February 1 for assistantships beginning in the fall (currently, assistantships only begin in the fall).

Applicants should be sure to indicate on their application that they are requesting an assistantship and provide GRE general exam scores.
