Program Overview
The master of science in data analytics and information systems program offers full-time students the ability to graduate in three full semesters and working professionals the flexibility to enroll part-time. Evening classes are offered face-to-face and via a technology-enhanced delivery format at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses.
All McCoy College degree programs are accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The accounting degree programs also hold separate accreditation by AACSB.
Course Work
The 30-hour curriculum consists of core courses that provide a blend of analytical and information technology skills that include: data visualization; predictive, prescriptive and descriptive analytics; machine learning; database management; data warehousing; scientific computing; and query languages. Students may choose a thesis or non-thesis option and may utilize an internship as an elective.
