Studying Information Systems at the University of Cincinnati prepares students to function at the intersection of business and technology and to design and build the solutions that allow businesses to effectively leverage information technology. In the bachelor's program, students acquire strong technical skills in databases, systems analysis and design, web development, business process modeling, business intelligence tools, telecommunications, and project management, along with problem solving skills through the team-oriented, project-based courses in the program. The master's program combines core business knowledge with Information Systems-focused technical courses and real-world experience to give students strengths in enterprise resource planning, database design and more. Students may also decide to pursue specialized Graduate Certificates in Data Analytics, ERP or Data Science.
The University of Cincinnati offers undergraduate and graduate program options, including the MS. Lindner students are encouraged to obtain real world work experience through Lindner’s Professional Experiences, including co-op and internships.
Today, most organizations cannot function or compete effectively without computer-based information systems. Enterprises often ascribe their productivity, improved customer service or competitive advantage in the market place to their information systems (IS). The UC Carl H. Lindner College of Business (Lindner) prepares students to function at the intersection of business and technology and to design and build the solutions that allow businesses to effectively leverage information technology.
