California State University, Long Beach, also known in athletics as Long Beach State University, is a public research university in Long Beach, California. The 322-acre campus is the second largest in the California State University system.

About the Program

Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, this program provides the broad background needed to succeed in civil engineering. Built around a core of mathematics and natural and engineering sciences, the program teaches students the essential tools and problem-solving ability to work in industry or prepare for civil engineering graduate studies.

Direct Entry Requirements

- Required for all applicants. Please have the student email the completed form to CSULB's International Recruitment Office at cie-apply@csulb.edu

All Previous Secondary Schools - Minimum GPA - 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

STEM and nursing majors need at least 3 years of high school math and Math grades B or better (4 years of math recommended)

- TOEFL (61), IELTS (5.5, no sub-score below 5.5), PTE (43) or Duolingo (95) - Official Scores Only

- Duolingo is accepted but the score cannot be entered on the official Cal State application. Please submit the application and then release an official score to CSULB.

- ACT/SAT Optional

- Copy of Passport

- Portfolio or Audition (Program-Specific)
